Did I just bust my E-Brake while doing a rear brake job?
I pulled a Noob move and left the E-brake engaged while trying to remove the rear rotor. After a couple of good smacks from a hammer and some pulling I was able to get the rotor off so it and the pads could be replaced.
While tightening the lug nuts after the brakes were reassembled there is now a sort of springy/scrapey noise that come from what I believe to be the E-brake.
Not too sure how the E-brake works but I had a look at it looks more or less okay... The Shoes are in decent shape. They could perhaps stand to be compressed some...
Any advise? Did i just bust my E-brake on that side? What is involved in rebuilding the E-brake? Thanks!
