Default replacing output shaft seals HELP!!!

I have a 98 V70 T5 automatic. 125,000 miles. replaced the drivers side axle shaft last month. started noticing a transmission fluid leak shortly there after. problem is, when I get under the car to look, the PASSENGER side shaft appears to have started to come out. it is at least 1/4 inch from being seated.this is where the leak appears to be coming from. I go to O'Rileys, get a new shaft and output shaft seal, all is well, until I get the axle out. the seal is not quite the same. the OEM is an NOK BH4575? I think the last letter is a C but I can not tell. The replacement is metal housing that appears to be slightly larger and no matter how many times I try, I can not get the stupid thing in. I took it back and they told me it was the correct part. Even went to 2 other auto parts stores in the area and asked for the part, only to be handed the same thing. The Volvo dealer in the area is out of stock until Tuesday. I say all this to ask.
can this be the correct part? and if so, what dark magic does it take to get the damn thing in?
