1998 v70xc ac troubles
After over spending at a reputable ac place with a new to me volvo they filled it with dye, did vacuum pressure and everything looks good. Fans work just compressor not engaging. They convinced me I needed to replace one of the computers and I did from a good guy online. Took it back to have installed gratis and still didnt work and they tried convince me the new computer had exact same issue. Didnt seem possible so I contacted my source who promised it was checked and willing to refund me but it's too convenient that they're both fubar. .. ive read somewhere theres a issue w ac somewhere with a connection of sorts please help!

geez, the computer is probably the last thing I'd suspect. I'd start by jumpering the high and low pressure switches to make sure you don't have a sensor issue. Then I'd check the various relays. Does the clutch try to engage? these ACs are known for having clutch gap issues which can show as the clutch engaging, slipping then disengaging. Could be a failed clutch or wiring/connectors into the compressor too. Did your tech comment on the worksheet about checking voltages at the compressor? Also do you see any error codes like the AC light on the dash flashing etc?
