Default V70XC timing belt skipped?

Hello all, I haven't been on here in a while, but I am still in the family. After sending my 300K 1994 850 Estate off the the boneyard about a year ago I purchased a 1999 V70XC and I love it (kinda). I did an oil change on it and when I went to start it up, it didn't really want to. When it did start, it was chuggy for a minute and the service engine light came on. The motor smoothed out and ran fine afterwards. I re-started it a few more times and it fired right up, but the light was still on. I drove it about 12 miles to run an errand (planning to stop at Auto Zone to have the code read) and it still ran smooth but did seem to lack a bit in the power department. When I came out from my first stop, I had a no start issue and had to have it towed to a shop. The computer said that cam 1 is out of time and upon inspection by the shop, I was told that the timing mark on the intake cam is about 3/4 of an inch off from where it is supposed to be. What are the chances that I don't have any bent valves and can just replace the belt and tensioners? Does anyone have any other suggestions for what may need to be done?

Thanks in advance for any help. Alan

I would figure out what made it jump time and reset things and do a compression test. These cars can be a few teeth off and be fine.
