Sunroof leaking and removing front seats
So, we had some major heavy rains last week and the front and rear passenger floor in one of my wagons is HEAVILY saturated (looked at the drain tube today and it was absolutely covered over with muck). I managed to get the front carpet out (all 3 inches of foam were absolutely soaked all the way through) and am looking to at least get the rear carpet pulled up to try and dry it out.
Main question here: Is is SAFE, with the battery being disconnected, to remove the passenger front seat and disconnect all the wiring harnesses??? I do not want the airbag to deploy while working on it or after I get it all back together and connect the battery. I have disconnected a few of the connections, but I did not attempt to mess with the orange harness, which I am led to believe is for the airbags.

Just have the ignition key at position II at the moment of connecting the battery. This will ensure the headlights are on, so it prevents various electronic components from a power surge when connecting the battery. Make sure all seat connections are well snug, as this is part of the airbag deploying system and can prevent the airbag from properly deploying.
As for the safety question, the airbag won't deploy with the battery removed, although there could be a delay - I'm not sure sure about this.
