Hi All,

Just bought a cheap Volvo V70 2004 2.5T auto with 96K runs lovely. It has an ABS problem which I had hoped would be fairly straightforward to fix. However I am starting to think otherwise :-)

When I picked up the car the BCM had been removed from the underside of the ABS unit and was sitting in the glove box. It has been off for repair at some point in the past not recently by the look of it. I hope it is the original one and not some random one off eBay the date stamp looks OK at 2004.

Anyway fitted it back onto the ABS unit plugged in VIDA I get the following -

Under delivery I get CEM-1A5F communication with BCM control module signal missing. I also get UEM-004 Siren comms fault (very common) and UEM_0005 sun roof comms fault but I dont think these are related to my ABS problem.

Under network I get BCM not responding.

Will try and run some simple continuity wiring tests tomorrow

Any ideas

Would be good to send teh BCM off for testing / repair any recommendations or otherwise ?

Probably have a dead BCM. If it has power and ground and won't communicate, it's bad.

 

Took the lid off the BCM and re-flowed all the connector joints, they all looked good anyway someone had been there before me.

No Change

It is getting power and ground OK

Any recommendations on where I can get a used one, need to get one as close as possible to a 2004 2.5T petrol auto
