Everything 99 and up have the electronic throttle body's.The only car that doesn't have it is the S40 that still has a cable up to 2004.The 2004 1/2 has the electronic system.

Is the electronic system prone to failure? Recently I heard that it was an issue and to correct the failure was quite costly. Correct?
Along that line, what is the most common failure "part" to the c-70 and is there a time/mileage element involved?
Thx, Reg.

The 2 main failure items on the C70 are the throttle body and the Window regulators. Both are pretty expensive to have repaired.

Tech....

whats the recourse today on a failed ETM for my 99 hpt c70. I got a recall on it. What are the steps that c70 is warriented under in the recall. Is it just reprogramming or are there 2 more steps. I have heard they should clean it and replace it as the remaining steps if the first or second dont work. I have also heard only the programming is under warranty. please clarify...

thanks much

They should clean it and install the Download for the Upgrade.
Then is that doesn't work they replace it.

It should all be under Warranty.
