Hi there,
Has anybody used a Powerchip in their S80s from Powerchip Inc?
What this basically does is your car gets updates of the software in your car’s engine control unit. The benefits are (by Powerchip Inc.)
"more performance, quicker throttle response and better overall drivability. The software is simple and easy to install, can be
reversed to original settings at any time, and comes with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If your car is covered by a new car
warranty, you needn’t be concerned. Your Powerchip upgrade is totally undetectable by your service dealer (even if it was they
cannot void your warranty because of it). " but they don't say what are the cons.
I would like to know if this kind of modification to ECU can cause easier damage of the engine and other parts (especially turbo unit, seals etc.). How much the engine will last with this kind of modification?
Thanks for the advise,
Majki
