I have 2 - 240,s now a 89 and a 90 and on both of them the inside of the front seat , the foam has shifted and you can feel the steel on the inside portion of the back part of the seats.... has anyone had this happen and is there anything I can do to reposition the foam so that it is over the steel..???</P>

Bongo, had similar problem on my 81 240 GL. Took the seat cover off and found that I had to replace some wires, springs, and reglue some of the foam. The price of the replacement foam was way out beyond Pluto, if you know what I mean. You will have to open up the hog rings to get the seat cover off. It a bit of a chore to get everything right when you put it back together. Cheers.
