I need to replace the tires on my 940 wagon. With winter coming up, do I need to get snow tires (2 or 4?), or would good all seasons work? We are in wisconsin, and it does snow!

For what i drive in, i get all seasons. they have good tread since they are new and will also be good for summer driving seeing as they are all weather. if you get snow tires, you have to worry about mounting the snow tires on new rims and if you dont know how to do that, paying the tire dealership to do it. instead, buy all seasons and mount them on ur existing rims to save some trouble. as for buying 2 or 4, id definitely buy 2 for the rear wheels seeing as your car is rear wheel drive and u dont want to lose traction in the back (Volvo's are already a pain in the snow) and id also recommend 2 all seasons for the front seeing as you dont want to lose traction when steering or braking. |
