I recently purchased an s60r automatic (dealers are really discounting the 05's now) and I had a question on performance upgrades with the auto trans. I was considering adding a chip and an exhaust system but I'm worried that the auto tans may not be designed to handle power increases. I know torque was lowered on the auto transmission model and I had read that it was due to the auto trans. Does anyone know if the auto trans can handle moderate power increases or am I better off leaving it stock?

I have seen some modded S60R's with the stock trans and no problems.
