Hell this board is slow. And it just ate a post, and I only have a downstream speed of 6.27mbps.

Well guys atleast you wont see petty bickering here..bringing VOC to its knees was a evil plan by that other forum who now seem to be syphoning the ex voc members..all arguments on VOC centred on the same folk each time and all Mods on that other forum..

Iain from Edinburgh (unfortunately still in the UK ;))

Currently drive a 1995 850 T5 Auto which I bought off the police a couple of years ago. No idea what it was used for but it's never been marked or carried lights/sirens, although it does have screw holes in the dash for a radio.

92k miles so far.

Hoping to get something smaller soon as the T5 is rather thirsty though I really fancy a V50 T5 AWD.

Hi Nemesis.

So where have all the refugees from the VOC forum gone?

NemesisT5
04-03-2008, 07:18 AM
Moving back to Voc soon i hope Roger..just wish voc would open its eyes and see the t5d5 crew are the trouble makers causing all the grief

rogerthechorister
04-03-2008, 07:24 AM
Ah but where are they now? I might fancy a bit of trouble if you know what I mean (LOL).

Of course, they should have got proper Volvos, 2s, 7s or 9s! Much harder to blow up!! (grin)

Oh, you've got a funny front wheel drive haven't you? Grin.

Ah Roger i seen your name there too LMAO..
think t5d5 is where most are lurking at right now even ex voc staff..amazing how thick folk are as its t5d5 that caused more grief than anyone else on voc

Flipping VoC site!

I just sent the club the following self-explanatory email

"I am sorry but the paranoia here has now gone too far. You will not let me into the forum until I edit my profile (and I find that sort of requirement innately suspicious). That requires me to accept the new rules. But if I try to click through to the new rules - I am flung out until I agree to them. I am not prepared to agree to rules that I CANNOT read first, and even if I were, that would cast doubt on the legal efficacy of my acceptance of them. Trust me, I'm a lawyer. Let me know when there is any point in coming back. At present I can't even read the forums without accepting an policy I can't access to read. "

Shame, there was a lot of interesting stuff on the UK forum that you could only find on there, as it was UK specific.

BTW, I am also new on here, being an ex-UK forum member.

Gavin,

another porridge muncher like Christina ;)2003 V70T5 SE ex NYP ARV. and refugee from the VOC forum .... not that I frequented it that often... only when the toy isall brokey and sick the anology I would draw is a bit like my belief in God* where that only surfaces at times of extreme stress as in;

<SQEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eee>

"OHS..TIMGONNADIETHISISITIMGONNADIEIMGONNADIEMUMMYI MGONNADIE................"

"Oh Hello Lord*.... remember me.... er I'm in a spot of bother here..... as you can see (cos you is omnipitent an' all that) the muppet front of me has just stopped dead in the centre of lane three and... TECHNICALLY doinga hundred an twentyon the approach to J21A of the M6 is a secular sin, not a spriritual one... the ABS has kicked in, my bowels are kicking out and I havethe usual W....R in a Beemertrying to have a willy waving contest and undertakeme in lane two cos he's hacked off and as I passed him at Charnock Richard Services as he thought I was an unmarked traffic car... er.... so I have got NOWERE to go now and ... the backend of this Sprinter Van looks AWWWWWWFULLLLLLLY big an' substantial (sp) an' whiteand its getting really close and MAKE IT GO AWAY........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please......"

"............. awwww GIESABREAK!"

"OOOOOOOOOoooo SortedWee Man! Thank you Lord* yer a Pal .... I take it you don't like BMW drivers either? ... whassat?..... Yes gotta agree the look on MrBeemers face was very funny as the east european contract driver in the sprinter turned right across him into lane one...... whassat... yep I bet he is sitting in it... mind you..... aye I'll do that wee man... next Sunday.... no problem"

Well you get the idea of the analogy...:)

Gald to be here

*Please insert Deity/Deities of choice according to your own personal belief system or if you are really in the doo doo why not go for the "shotgun spread" approach and pray to ALL of them to improve any potential outcome....

New member dropping in to say hi, recent convert to the volvo cause after years of my dad owning a few. just purchased a 97 s70 se t5. bought on abit of a whim, needed transport quickly and it jumped off the page in autotrader.... to say i'm surprised is abit of an understatement, its only the 193 bhp model but bloody hell, talk about s*** of a shiny one! the only critisism i can level at it is that i feel the brakes are abit underwhelming so i'm looking to pick some brains about big brake conversions if anyone has a successful receipe. i've heard a rumour that some audi stuff fits, anyone know how true this is? if anyone feels like getting in touch my personal address is disco427 @ hotmail . co . uk without the spaces of course.
i'm from just north of birmingham, doany gatherings happen nearby? Dave

johnpoach
09-27-2008, 09:12 AM
Welcome disco. put your question about the brakes on the front page, scrool down and find your car model. an u may get the reply u want m8.scroll i meant. have fun.John.

Hi everyone, I might as well say hello here too, I didn't see it right at the top of the page.
I'm Chris, probably one of the younger members on the board (19) and by the looks of things in this thread in contrast to my age I've got one of the older cars.
1989 740SE, totally stock which is a necessity to keep the young driver insurance costs down, give it a couple of years and I'm planning on dropping the 16 valve turbo engine in which should bring it somewhat closer to all you T5 guys!

Hello John (and all other UK forum users!)
Just standing to attention for role-call! Keith here, owner of 1995 850 t5 wardrobe, or "La Diablo Negra" as she is affectionately known. Would like to hear from other members from Essex, and would help with mech jobs! She is my first volvo after a long line of land rovers and I could get used to this "car" lark. Wish I could pull away in the wet though!! lol
My 850 is a little dated but is still a very capable car. Thanks
Keep it volvo
