Just bought a 2001 V40 1.9L turbo wagon for my wife. I'm looking to add a few ponies to the car. I was thinking one easy mod would be removing the stock airbox and replacing it with a cone filter right off the MAF. My question is will the ECU throw a CEL with type of mod. Obviously I plan to reset the ECU after the install so it will relearn the amount of air it'll be receiving.

It should not throw a code you are adding more air but thats what the Mass flow is for to measure the air coming in.
