Hey guys.

My father has a 2005 XC90 that needs some work. The car has almost 100k on it now and a couple things are starting to go out. I don't know the difficulty of how hard it would be to replace this stuff, but I myself am pretty mechanically inclined (put together a whole subaru wrx from the ground up basically)

The main problem is the car has a rough idle, and now the check engine light just popped on

My dad took his car to the shop to get it diagnosed, here is what he found:

Bevel Gear Seals (Right)
Turbo Boost control solenoid
Brake Control Module and Software

The main/most expensive problem (diy fixable?)

Does anyone know what I would be able to fix and what a shop would need to do? We are looking to save as much cash as possible.

Also, where could I source parts for this car? haven't had any success there :/

 

I think most folks on here use this http://www.fcpgroton.com/ for parts. I have used them since acquiring my Volvo and have saved money plus parts most of the time are OEM.
