What else does everyone drive besides the Volvo??
Everyone knows I don't own one yet.
But here is what I own.
1987 Ford Mustang 5.0
1995 Chevy Barretta (wifes car) Not by choice but was a GREAT DEAL
1988 Dadge Ram Vam (Driving all the kids around)
1992 Mercury Grad Marques (Trying to sell)
fire2havoc 11-09-2005, 10:16 PM I used to drive my dad's 1987 Nissan Stanza until it exploded.
This is what the family owns:
2000 Nissan Maxima GLE
2006 Mercedes ML350
1999 Volvo S80 T6
S70turbo1999 11-09-2005, 10:25 PM a golf cart
and a 91 ford contour with no interior lights that shook when u turned and the accelerator got stuck on a highway and almost killed me
fire2havoc 11-10-2005, 01:01 AM What about your '99 S70 Turbo?
mahie023 11-10-2005, 03:29 PM i used to drive a 1987 pontiac fiero till it crapped out, hence me getting a s60. i also ride a yamaha 2004 r6.

What a Frankenstein car huh?
I had to replace the clutch in one twice in 2 years.
mahie023 11-10-2005, 09:22 PM car was only two years younger than i was. but it was very tool friendly. learned how to disect a car's electrical system and it's the car i learned how to replace brakes(rotors, pads, calipers). it was a good starting car.
They really werent all that bad I just got stuck working on the same one through 3 different owners.
You have no idea of an electrical system until you meet up with Lord Lucas, the Duke of Darkness!! Get hold of an old British auto and you will soon learn! My 1965 Healey has a whopping two fuses................that's right.........two 20 amp fuses for the entire electrical system!

No it will not. :) Not to mention its a Dodge.
But the funny thing lately is that almost all the intrepids I see are blowing oil out the tail pipe. Valve seals I assume.

And zigzag, I also own a mountain bike (and a road bike!)
Sort of off topic, but somebody in this thread mentioned chipping an 850... what does a chip do for the T5? In the audi world... a chip on our 1.8 turbo gives around 55 hp and up to 80 - 90 lbs of torque. Volvos see any similar gains? Already start with 247 hp or something though... so I think the volvo's 2.3 is tuned more than the audi's 1.8 -- 247 hp vs 150 hp [:@]
tomservo 01-08-2006, 11:04 PM In about 7 months my other ride will be either a GS or KZ from ~1980. Can't wait till I can buy one!!
serial_modder 01-11-2006, 07:57 PM well my 740 is under construction at the moment, so i drive my mom's 940, the neighbours tiny!!! ford fiesta, but i also have a '92 mod suzuki GSX-R 750, a porsche 944 (also under construction) and an old bus wich is going to be a campingbus for those track weekend outings.
by the way headshok2002, you might want to try this site http://www.audituning.com/ for audi chips. look around his site, you might find some dip to go with the chips too.. :p

mo t5 01-26-2006, 01:03 PM Our main mode of transportation is a 96 Chyrsler T&C minivan. My wife drives a 2000 Toyota Corolla(shes a teacher, very practical), while I have a 95 Mustang GT Convertible( with the last of the 5.0's) to play with. I haven't put my v70 in the fleet yet, still ironing off a few issues.
Patrick 01-27-2006, 02:51 PM issues such as?
scottx 01-28-2006, 02:31 PM I had a toyota celica gt4 running at 350bhp, just sold it as i need some extra cash.

alloy 01-29-2006, 01:51 PM My main driver is a 87 IROC-Z camaro. Wife drives the wagon.
mo t5 01-30-2006, 11:45 AM Creaking steering wheel, broken tilt/telescoping lever, checking the timing belt to see if the lying car dealer really changed it like he sworn on his mothers grave(I don't think he every had a mother) that he did, replacing the fuel filter, etc. The worst thing is letting my kids ride in it, they are like pigpen from the Snoppy cartoon. I've had to do some extra work around the house as a punishment for buying another car that its been on the back burner. Soon, soon.
sithhound 02-09-2006, 03:53 PM I drive my mother-in-laws Expedition sometimes, and I used to sometimes drive my wife's X-terra, before we traded it in on a s80. Personally, I cannot stand SUVs. I had to get her the s80 cause she wanted my 850, and I sure didn't want the X-terra. Not that a X-terra is a bad vehicle, but like I just said, I hate SUVs.
hocbj23 03-01-2006, 08:49 AM I drive a full out 2002 s40, wife drives a 2001 Cross Country, I also have a 1991 Mazda 626 GT hatch and a 1992 Mazda B2200 pickup and finally a 1970 Triumph Bonneville.

XL883L 06-21-2006, 12:20 AM 85 Volvo 740 turbo (just picked it up for $800 all she needs is a headgasket and couple tires) been used and abused like many other cars out there. with a little tlc should be good to go as far as a secondary family car.

05 HD 883 Sportster this bike is my new little hot rod (who can argue with 55-60 mpg) its got a few mods here and there and am planning on a 1250cc big bore kit sometime this next winter. (now all i need is some 04+ buell xb12 heads and the big bore kit!)
luckytweaker 06-21-2006, 04:48 PM well, considering the volvo is my only car...lol. i work at a uhaul dealership so i can drive the trucks if i want...lol

cbevis 06-22-2006, 04:19 PM hmm.....white....rusted out......244......is it a wagon or sedan? I'll have to think about it for awhile....I'm thinking Margret or Hector though.....
Guido isn't inspected? OH! That's right....emissions! lol, we don't have emissions testing in MN anymore. The rust usually retires the cars around here quicker than the engines. HA HA!........good luck with that BTW.
luckytweaker 06-23-2006, 02:17 AM he passed emissions cuz he was exempt. yea, the 76 is a sedan and im thinking Hector sounds like a good one to me. THANKS AGAIN DOOD!!!! lol

Lucky_Avalon 07-14-2006, 05:45 PM Apart from my 940...
1985-244 GLE (recently sold, we are three in the house with five cars and the old guy wasn't getting any action, so we gave it to someone that could)
1982-242
2002-Land Rover Range Rover 4.6HSE
1999-Toyota Tacoma 2WD Pre-Runner
and if I play my cards right... a BMW M3 2002... but that is pending!!
akirk6884 12-24-2006, 07:39 PM I've owned the Following...
1997 Volvo 850 GLT...drove it till it hit 150000 miles
2002 Toyota Highlander
2004 GMC Envoy
I now drive the Following....
2006 Jeep Commander(Yea it's got a HEMI)
2002 Volvo S80 T-6(oh yea baby)
sdat1333 12-25-2006, 06:39 PM My car: 2001 Volvo S60
Dad's car: 2001 Mercedes C240
Mom's car: 2003 Ford Taurus
ShoelessJohn 05-15-2007, 04:51 PM My wife drives a 2006 Jeep Liberty Renegade. She custom ordered it with the 6 speed manual trans instead of the highly uninspired 4 speed auto, which has made all the difference. Incredible offroader right out of the box.
At work in Chicago, I used to drive:
1. '92 Ford Aerostar, 4-speed (Beaten up).
2. '92 For F-350 Custom, 3-speed (Neglected)
3. '94 Ford F-150 XL, 4-speed (Abused).
4. '96 Suzuki Forenza (Korean OEM, Daewoo. Wouldn't even think of buying in my dream).
During my first college days:
1. '87 Ford Escort GL (The worst car I've ever driven; lots of problems especially in the CFI (Central Fuel Injection) and the ignition module & fuel vapour in the fuel line, killing the engine in hot climate).
2. '88 Honda Accord LX-i 2.0L (Excellent car with following problems):
Poor brakes, poor clutch, 12-valve instead of 16, lack of VTEC, poor acceleration if loaded.
Rented:
1. '00 Toyota Camry (Well made car with boring exterior that resembled A/C vents).
2. '06 Mazda 6 (named Mazda Atenza in Japan). The best car I've driven so far, with the worst gas mileage. Nicely designed transmission, suspension & steering feel & interior. The 4 banger was a shame in terms of fuel consumption.

fivespeed 05-17-2007, 04:04 PM i drive a volvo truck when i am working, i also drive my wife round the bend.
99VolvoV70 06-05-2007, 10:42 PM Along with my 99 Volvo V70 Turbo (my wife's primary car), I usually drive my 99 Mitsubishi Eclipse (which I actually bought brand-new while in college).
In the past, I've also owned a 2001 VW Jetta VR6, a 2000 Toyota MR2 Spyder (I loved that car and would love to get another one), an 88 Ford Mustang, an 83? Chevy Cavalier and an 83? Mercury Capri.
92Typhoon 06-05-2007, 11:30 PM Well, not currently, but I used to drive a 1992 GMC Typhoon. [8D]It's currently riding the jackstands in the garage getting some much needed TLC. I just need to put everything back together and start her up. Not to put our 850GLT down, but it'll be nice to get behind the wheel of a car pushing some real boost (14.7psi) with some real torque at all four wheels (AWD, 350 ft.lbs.)
I think it's finally time to make time to finish her up and get her on the road. :)
gmorgan 06-12-2007, 08:58 PM I used to drive 1999 Mitsubishi Galant
