Hey all,

New to the forum, with a black '08 C30.

Since the car was the only one on the lot, I picked it up with less than my full choice of options... now looking to upgrade some things.

Looking to add audio control to the steering wheel, understand the switch is only $40-50 and the car is pre-wired, but the dealer is not sure if it will work and talking about needing to buy software to "turn it on"...

Not sure if this is bogus or if I should take the gamble.

Any thoughts???

Welcome. Post this in the C30 forum. You'll get faster and better responses.

It is very well possible it can need Software.
