<FONT face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" color=black size=1><FONT size=2>I'm drivinga '98 V40Twhich I'm more than happy with apart froman intermittent problem which has recentlyappearedon long trips. Whenfully loaded with campinggear, going up long hills, into headwinds etcthe enginewill loose power then stop alltogether. After sitting for a hour or so the car will start again and drive normally! This has happened twice now.Mylocal specialist has looked at the car and foundno fault codesand nothing out of order.</FONT></FONT></P>

We have a volvo v40 t4 andwe drove up to bude , cornwall on our
holidays and we had the same problom as you.

ive gt same problem on my t4 to anyq1 know wat this is

From a volvo mechanic of 30 years....sounds like the fuel system is vapor locking. Next time it happens...slowly remove the gas cap, that may help. Should check fuel filter inside gas tank.
