Just picked up the car and noticed a couple of things: when I accelerate I sometimes get a small hesitation and hear a clunk in the transmission is this normal for AWD? Also, went to change the oil for the first time and found out this is a cannister-type filter unit. Wasn't enough space to use my standard band-type filter wrenches on the cannister. Anyone know the size of the end cap wrench that fits these cars (86MM, 15 flute?) or the best way to remove the darn thing....I struggled for several hours to no avail. Oh, one last thing, haven't gotten to the plugs yet but do the coils come off fairly easily and do the plugs require a special tool to remove and replace?

The clunk can be many things Mounts,trans slipping or other things. How does the fluid look?

Im not sure of the size of the filter housing. Someplaces sell a belt style filter wrench that looks like a seatbelt on a bar. I have used one of those before with success. (I just bought my tools off the tool truck. I told them the Volvo filter wrench)

The coils are only held in with 10mm head screws. The socket size for the plugs are 5/8. You will need a pretty long extension to get to them.
