Question dash lighting up!

Hey guys! so i've recently encountered a problem with my 850 and its a consistent one. every time i press down on the accelerator pedal, my radiator light pops up followed by the windshield wiper fluid light. what's goin on?
When i release the pedal, they'll go away and won't come back until i take off from idle again.
maybe this is a noob problem, but i've never dealt with this kinda thing before so idk.
help?

check your fluid levels- they are most likely low. When you gun it (good for you!) the fluid sloshes around and gives you that low reading. Volvo is very specific about using only their brand of antifreeze- it's about $20/gal. Usually if you are pretty polite that parts guys will give you shop price if you'll be buying parts from them regularly.

hope that helps.

Volvo original coolant is not much different from high-quality aftermarket coolant (I've been using Prestone). As long as you use aluminium-safe (most of them are safe for aluminium these days) ethylene glycol-based coolant, your cooling system should be fine. Keep in mind to replace it at every 30,000 miles/3-4 years. Coolant is one of the most neglected items in modern cars.

>check your fluid levels- they are most likely low.
+1.

9 times out of 10 its just low fluid. i cant say that i have ever seen an issue with the sensors systems that magicly makes lights pop on.

let us know how it turns out.
