All,
I'm thinking of purchasing a certified 04 xc70 from my dealer that comes with an integrated phone in the center console. My question is: Can I have any wireless service (Verizon for example) put that phone in operation or is the phone only capable of working on one provider only? Thanks in advance for your help.

does the intergrated phone is bluetooth or just a microphone on the driver headrest and a adapter for a phone.
any service provider will work. I have a intergarted phone with adapter that puts the phone on and charges it. But is no use now since we got bluetooth and different phone meaning needs different adapter.

Red XC,
There is a phone in the console and the keypad for the phone is to the left of the radio. I already have a Verizon cell phone that gets coverage where I need it (Maine and upstate New York), and I don't want to switch services if I don't have to. I should call verizon to see about making the car phone just an additional line or something. It shouldn't cost too much.
You do think I can use any service provider though?

I believe I read on other boards that Volvo is discontinuing the integrated phone service. Call Volvo direct to get a straight answer.
I found the link where i read it before
On Call Plus will soon expire (http://forums.swedespeed.com/zerothread?id=59729)
