I'm thinking about a 98V70R, but I love the Sc-816 in my S70. I don't want to deal with the changer thingy, I just want a simple single disc. Anyway, could I just switch them? The specs on the Volvo website say that my S70 as the SC-816 option with 8 speakers. The specs on the V70R say that it comes standard with 8 speakers.

From what I have read on the internet they are. I read one post where the owner swaped out his SC-816 in his '99 Volvo S70 for a SC-901.

Though I have never actually seen the SC-900. Is it a squarish unit like the SC-816. I have a SC-810 in my '94 850 that I am looking to replace and just purchased a nice SC-816 pulled from a '98 S70 off ebay. Just recently learned about the SC-900 (multiple in dash CD's) & SC-901 (single in dash CD) and am very curious about them.

Though neither the SC-900 or SC-901 seem to be as published on the web as the SC-810, SC-811, SC-815 & SC-816 when you search for tech. specs.
