I recently changed out the tip on my exhaust, and the new one i put on has a piece inside that has holes in; (it has 2wo layers, each one consists of things that could be related to jam jar lids with holes every few incles drilled into them around the edge, and another behind it the exact same thing but on a diffrent rotation so the holes don;t meet. In the middle there is a piece that has many little holes in it and is open on both ends also.) that allow air to pass through it and make some funky noise. My question is does it cause power loss? Does it cause a buildup in back pressure that could **** over my engine, or would I get a sensor light for that before it happens, or and error code displayed to me? It might just be my imagination, but it doesn't seem to go as fast acclerating before as it did prevoiusly.

I need some advice on if it is damaging, preventing, robbing or doing any other such things to the engine that could harm it.
Thanks

Since it is on the End of the Exhaust I don't think it is harming anything.

Have you removed it and drove it again to see if it is different?

I was out driving, had it at 110 then gave er', and i guess that the entire piece i put on including the 4 bolts were blown right off the exhaust with a sound like a cannon, then it started to acclerate faster again. So i guess it was blocking something:D

awsome!....i mean, that's too bad. Still, I'd like to have seen what damage it did to whatever it hit...provided it wasn't a person or living thing (baring trees, plants, and small woodland creatures/muskie bait..i.e. cats)

Yea, it blew right off. All 4 bolts holding it on were gone. it was down a long long road with no one on it so it didn't hait anyone or anything.. i hope. It never damaged the body or anything just because it was a little out of the back of the car anyways, it followed through.
