Ok, Im new here and I just bought a used 940 for my wife. Here are the recent problems:

The car overheats big time!!! It emmits tons and tons of heat when you stand by the side of it. Don't know exactly what the deal is. The oil is leaking a bit, but i can't find the leak.

The a/c shuts down when i accelerate. It works good when the car is standing still, but once i give it gas, the a/c barely blows. Any suggestions what to look for?

Thanks,

Ok guys, reality check time! if your car *really* is over heating badly, you need to get it to a decent mechanic NOW! you will destroy various parts of the motor by running it too hot, and it will cost much more to fix after it blows up, than it will right now.....the causes for engine overheat are allmost all in the liquid carrying part of the cooling system (radiator, hoses, thermostat etc.) although on a hot day, or stuck in traffic a non-functional fan will do it too (out on the road it won't matter if your fan works or not)

good luck, don't put it off or you may buy a new motor!
