I like most families am part of a multi car family. While I have always driven cars my wife for the last few years has gone the SUV route. I warned her of the gas it would used and the awkwardness of the damn thing but she wanted one so she got one.
the thing now is, every excuse she get, she's grabbing the keys to my Volvo and leaving me with her grand cherokee. Any body else have this problem

I guess I am lucky. My wife does not care for my 1999 S70, would rather drive the 03 Acura MDX. Fine by me! I keep a cleaner car anyway. I only need the Acura to tow my boat.

I know what you mean. I think the women and SUV thing is a fad. I see women in them every where. If it's not a fad then I guess auto makers need to bring back the station wagon.

Volvo has alway made the Station Wagon. You will be seeing them make a come back by other major manfacturers. Chrysler is already making the Magnum. Last year I got rid of the Suburban and bought a V70. Wife and I both now drive Vovlo's. I have the V70 today and she is out with her Mother and sister in my 850 R.

I'm only a teenager, so it's not like I have to worry about a wife, but my parents do have to borrow my S70 from time to time. Though all Volvo's are great, I hope I will never have to drivea station wagon. Plus, I love my car, so I plan to keep it as long as posssible.
