hi all,
new here. i have an old ('91) 940 se wagon which is doing well by me at 258k and not too many repairs since buying it at 217k. my fiance is thinking of getting an '98 850 wagon (not sure just yet which package it is) with 95k on it for $6,500. we have been doing some reading and it doesn't seem like consumer reports or j.d. powers like the car at all. they seem to find them unreliable. i can't tell you how depressing and aggravating that is to read. say it ain't so. is it the '98? what is up? i just got rid of a 240 dl with 310k on it and it was good to me. i had been driving 35k per year as well. i really don't want her to buy a toyota, honda or anything else really but i am concerned by what i read.
