S70turbo1999 08-08-2006, 03:14 AM that hood is begging for some scoops
cbevis 08-08-2006, 11:03 AM What are you doing buying an Oldsmobile?! Aren't those.....old man cars?! LOL...just kidding. Is that the aftermarket pearl coat i see on that car?
Why yes the Paint is Pearl.
Yes the hood is also begging for soemthing.
cbevis 08-09-2006, 10:55 AM I love that color....but there are so few cars that can truely pull it off. Nice work on finding one. Any "plans" for this one or was it just a replacement for something else?
S70driver 08-09-2006, 11:41 AM Why did you buy this and not a used Volvo?
Lucky_Avalon 08-09-2006, 05:06 PM Nice!
Convertible, two door with a pearl!!
Great choice.
luckytweaker 08-09-2006, 06:02 PM isnt an Olds an old folks car? wait a tech....erm tick.....nevermind....i forget what i was gunna say.
Couldn't pass the Deal up $500.00 for the car. From Family member.
No real plans but a system. Half already in there from Brother.
Not an old folks car either.
luckytweaker 08-09-2006, 09:05 PM well, i guess not...you're still a young one..arent ya?
Not the youngest!! Middle in the Family.
cbevis 08-10-2006, 12:03 PM No real plans but a system. Half already in there from Brother.
Tech.....Please be a responsible system installer and SOUND PROOF your convertable top....lmao. That's one of my all time biggest petpeevs.
luckytweaker 08-10-2006, 03:07 PM sound proof the top??? wtf?? you can do that??? im gunna rhino line the full interior of Guido puls his trunk for sound proofing. i heard its better than dynomat.
cbevis 08-10-2006, 04:52 PM You can take neoprien and make cuffs for all the joints in the top, make sure all the hardware is tight and felt the portions that mount to the windshield. Then, when it's down you can strap the top tighter to the floor of the trunk. It'll still resonate a little but it'll be noticable better.
crazynlazycolombian 08-14-2006, 12:33 AM still shoulda gottten a volvo, i got mine from a fam member for $500!
But no one in My Family owns one.
cranky 08-15-2006, 10:11 AM 24 valve, 3.4, auto?
Patrick 08-15-2006, 01:53 PM still rockin the stang too?
ORIGINAL: Patrick
still rockin the stang too?
The stang is parked waiting for the Engine pull and New parts.
Check the General section I made a post about the Goodies for my car.
Cranky it is a 3.1 Auto.
Patrick 08-16-2006, 12:56 PM i remember when i was 15 or 16, a friend of mine got his dad's cut supreme drop top, with a styling bar and a very mild body kit on it, and i was certain that it was easily the coolest car in the world.
I like it. It could use a little more Power but runs good.
Zigzag_2 08-17-2006, 01:55 AM sweet ride, had a 96 in black.
great seats.
Yes they are quite Comfortable.
cranky 08-23-2006, 04:46 PM Good thing you got thte 3.1....
Just watch the intake manifold gasket......
I will keep an eye on it.
Was thinking about removing the plenum and Ploishing it.
cranky 08-24-2006, 04:10 PM If the intake hasn't been removed once already, you'll be removing it at some point anyway..... The EGR system is known to clog also. None of this is a big deal, but, just be aware of it.
I assume you know what I meant by "be glad it is the 3.1 and not the 3.4"?
Just for the record, I like the 3.4 engine, it's just that certain maintenance items are quite labor intensive. - T-belt, alternator....
Dads850 08-25-2006, 12:48 AM The car I used to own that I miss the most is my '86 Olds Delta 88 with the 3.8l. I'll never understand why they did away with Olds :\
They never really did. Olds is still out there.
