Default Trouble with Radio Code - Help!

Trying to install a radio and it won't accept the code. Dealer confirmed the code is valid.

Anyone else have this type of problem. Any suggestions?

Model Number 816
Part Number 3533771-1
Serial Number V01890Y2101017H

Your help would be most appreciated!

Did they look up the code by your Vin # or by the radio?

Only the dealer can give you the code.

They looked it up by the radio itself, not the VIN #. This is a replacement radio we got off Ebay. But I called the dealer and he asked for the info I posted in my original message. Based on that info, he gave me the code.

I just don't know what else to do...

.......................ummmmm................ebay? ??? Caveat Emptor..............latin for "Let the buyer beware". I would send it back while you can. Many people ...........it seems.............sell their junk on ebay and as a result, I believe ebay is probably one of the worse places to purchase used merchandise. Look at the Volvo sites such as this one for a unit.

Are you getting a EEEE code on the radio? If you are you need to let the radio reset itself before entering the code 4-digit# Toget the radio to reset. Open the drivers door and turn the key to the on position and wait for an hour for it to reset. Once the EEEEs are gone then put in the 4 digit code to set. Good Luck!
