Exclamation Do not post car problems - - forum issues only please

THIS PART OF THE FORUM IS NOT FOR CAR PROBLEMS. USE THE SECTION OF THE FORM THAT HAS YOUR CAR TYPE.

If you list your car problem in this section, it will likely never be seen or get a reply.

I have noticed that there are a lot of threads in here that are not about FORUM ISSUES.

I have moved these threads to their respectful areas.

Please lets keep this forum clean and about FORUM ISSUES ONLY.

Thank you

So for the past week, I have logged in like normally and I keep seeing this message and I know there have been new posts:

Sorry, there are no new threads to view.

You may search for threads updated during the previous 24 hours, here.

What gives? Anyone know? Anyone else see this? I cut and pasted that from the actual window.

I have not had that. Are you using a saved link to access the site?

Yes, I put Volvoforums.com on my front page of my Opera browser so I just have to click on the icon to open the page, but I still log on as normal. This just started popping up

Try typing in the address then logging in and see if that makes a difference.
I have noticed at times the forum works funny from a saved link.

What do you have in your Display Options? I keep mine set at 1 month for all forums. It's at the bottome of the page for each Forum. If you have it set for 1 day and nobody posts that day, you will get the message.

I'm a new member with a simple question. Is the design(color, layout, etc.) of the forums custom or a canned system? The reason I ask is that the tiny little arrow directing to the last post in a forum seems like it would do better to be a little larger from a usability standpoint. I know it's not really a big deal, but if it's a simple change, it couldn't hurt IMO. I just don't think it makes sense for the most common operation to have the smallest target.

I don't think this is a general forum issue.
You might get better feedback from posting in the appropriate technical area.
There are great experts and great answers in those places.

Hi
I'm new here, just created an account.
A Forum issue:
When creating the account and providing my details, the web page was not in secure mode.
I need an information, so I've created an account anyway, but the page whre you have to provide your details i.e. user name, e-mial address and password should be under secure connection - https:
Best
Radek

I never noticed that but from what I can see, the site will honor the https:// for encryption when creating the account but does not force encryption. A good question for the platform vendor.

I've made 4 posts, but two have not been approved by the moderator. How many posts do I need to make and get approved before they no longer need moderator approval?

there is no count as far as I know - but moderators are a volunteer army so sometimes we don't see the unapproved posts right away. I will take a look now.
