'02 S60T Is very much Blow'd Up.
Hey guys my 2002 S60 2.4t got hot and its toast. I already pulled the head and ALL of the cylinders were at least half full of water. Ill post pics, it was an epic fail. My family bought this car off the lot with under 100 miles in 2001, its got 250K miles and NO I AM NOT GOING TO JUNK IT. Seriously save your cute little comments for the uber-newbies, please. My kid sister learned how to drive in this car, a year before she flipped my old mans ranch truck and died at 17, so the car is important to me. Ok, so, I already have another longblock that I was planning on turning into and IPD/Eurosport shopping spree motor. All I know is that its all there and Ive cleaned it up and started rebuilding the head(stem guides). But I know I should drop the head off at the machine shop, should I also take the block? I remember the motor having the telltale signs of a plugged up PCV system. Like all 2.4 motors found in the junkyard, cylinder 3 is under oil on the camcover. I guess im asking where should I start? Ill post pics of the spare motors' current state. I appreciate your time, guys. thank you.
I know this motor well I just need a little confidence from the real experts, Im no mechanic, im a carpenter, but Ive had this motor apart before and I own my own Vida/Dice.
