I was with my grandfather in an auto salvage place and found an old 1977 Volvo 240 DL. I really like this car and I can get it for a really good price. The guy that owns it now says everything works well it just needs a gas tank. Can anyone help me find one of these or know the cost of something like this? Any other information about this car or any advice would also be helpful.

haven't used them, so no comment on quality or steel thickness.
I was going to get a new tank, but decide to convert mine to the newer style tank with intank pump. I already had the newer tank from another car.

It is a straight forward swap, but will require some skill.

If the tank is bad... rusty, then your entire fuel system is probably contaminated now.
My 75 had a rusty tank, and the cars was not running because the injectors and fuel distributor were all clogged. The fuel filter didn't do anything to stop the rusted gas.

If the car is running great now, then all you will need to do is replace the fuel filter, and you should be fine.
