Default diagnostic tool for my car

hello, everyone, i'm new comer here.
those days, i meet some trouble and need somebody give me some suggestion.

I bought a new volvo car several months ago; recently it always happen strange voice. i am worried.
so I want to buy a diagnostic tool for my car.
I heard from my friend that Lencoo Electronic Co.,Ltd which is the manufacturer of car electronics own a high reputation about this kind of product.
maybe he bought something from the company ago
i got touch with the company and the technician tell me that super autoboss v30 can solve trouble for me.

I have no idea about it,
in fact, i can not understand the manual clearly
i dare that it will not work on my car.
so I hope you can give me some suggestion.

I would not buy a thousand $ just to diagnosis, unless i m sure that thing can fix my car. that thing u got there is more like an aftermarket scan tool. but u r checking for noise now, that's different. i would suggest u bring to a volvo dealership, pay for the 1 hr diagnosis, @ least you know what's really going on with guarantee too. don't just start spending money on something that you don't even know if it will fix your car. do it the right way

You can buy the factory Volvo DICE and VIDA scan tool for around that price. Just keep your eyes peeled and you can find them. The knock off China DICE units are going for around $800 and the VIDA unlocked software is around $100. The only thing is if you need to put software on any modules you replace you have to get a 3 day subscription from Volvo for around $100

vida won't b able to determine where the strange noise is, the better way is to get a tech to look at it.

The question was about scan tools not trying to diagnose the car. Just giving my knowledge about scan tools.

sorry for my understanding of the question. i through he was asking rather or not he should buy a few $G of scan tool to fix a noise problem.
