Welcome to the forum,

OBD-I socket A7 is CRZ CTRL. Code 1-2-2:
Speed Below Minimum/No Signal.

Quote from the factory manual: "Code 1-2-2 is stored when ignition is turned on. It remains until vehicle speed is greater than 22 MPH for at least 15 seconds. If code remains after a road test at speeds greater than 22 MPH, control unit is not getting speed signal."

Socket B2 is for instrument: Code 1-2-2:
Temperature Sensor/Interval Too Long.

Wait until other members reply, or buy a Haynes manual for approx $15-$17.

I hope this gets you started.

JPN,

With apologies I would point out that B2 is the cruise control and A7 is the combined instrument. The descriptions are correct but I would add that B2 1-2-2 will always show if the codes are read immediately the ignition is switched on. To do this test the vehicle should be drivenat 22mph + for at least 15 seconds and the codes read before the ignition is switched off. It seems that it was designed to confuse the DIY man.

Hi Bill,

Thanks for correcting me, I must've had a mid-age moment.

Or, it must have been due to the stress I get from working in Japan[:@].

Cheers,

Kanji/JPN
