Smile A Serious Volvo Plus - The Tight Turning Circle

One of the things I like to show off about my Volvo is it's turning circle. My first Volvo was a '87 740 GLE. It would do a 3 point turn around with no problem and if the street was just a little wide, it would flat turn around. My 960 is the same way. I will have just a few feet between me and the car in front of me and bam, I will turn out of the spot, turn around, and be gone in the other directions. If I have a passenger they would have a funny look on their face, some will comment. Then I would look at them and knod my head and say "yes, it turns on a dime".

My 850, that's another story. I guess there is just to much stuff in the way on a front wheel drive car. Apparently, wider tires effect it as well.

I found this chart that shows turning circles on Volvos: http://www.volvoclub.org.uk/turn-circles.shtml
