I found a car at local yard. seats are in great shape. just wondered if I can swap them out.

I know the rear mounts differently but..main thing is the fronts bolting down

donor car is a 2002 s40. my car 99 s70.

I am going to go back this am with my tape measure.

 

I wonder too my 2000 c70 seats are a mess and need new covers but I assume if I change seats to a non 2000 the SRS will not work? Dealers says like year c70 seats may work with a software download maybe.

I wonder if the start of the P80 car platform making parts standard to save money and speed assembly.

I would check IPD USA and try to find out what they call the Chasis.

I know IPD calls the car I have the P2 Chasis is certain years of (V70, S60, S80). If you find out what cars have the same Chasis there is good chance the seats will be the same.

 

they also need a quick release to get in the back... some problem with my 242 when it needed seats.
