I came across some good info from you on removing the climate control unit on an 850. Maybe you can answer a question. I am attempting to help a friend, and also considering purchasing the car should she decide to sell it.
According to the "shop" The automatic climate control unit has burned out and their estimate is ridiculously high. (I know repairs on Volvo is higher than many - but). Is it possible to replace the automatic unit with a manual climate control panel? If so, is it simply a plug in situation or would I be looking at rewiring the harness?
BTW - my first Volvo was a 1958 444 that I wish I still had. My last Volvo was totaled out by my son.
Thanks -- I appreciate any insight you can give.

What do you have going on today? I was planning on going to my wagon today to try and get it running again and see if it is a collapsed lifter and if it fills back up or not. If you wanna meet up there and then go to your place, I might need some other things once I actually see the wagon. Probably be in germantown around 4

I'm not asking for your load bars. I don't know if I want some with cracking, that just means there going to need to be redone soon and I've already done mine three times.

Isn't bad like it would need to be painted? I'm also looking for some roof rails or load bars, either ones, are these compatible with those. I assume so, but just making sure.
