Default 2 year old new car

Hi,
I am considering the purchase of a 2015.5 XC60 T6 platinum edition AWD with the climate and tech package. MSRP is 51k. Dealer has 3 they are selling for 41k. I asked if they would certify it and they said yes. Is this a good deal for a 2 year old car with no miles on it? I hold my cars for about 10 years and would have a 7 year (5 remaining) bumper to bumper warranty. Used with 20k miles this car would cost mid 30s but I don't see any for sale in my area. Is 41k a good price?
Thanks

I think you are on the right track by comparing to certified pre-owned models of the same year. The day you drive out, the car is not new, its a used car with very low miles. You get the benefit of the warranty window - which you can extend for a cost. If the car is technically a used car (meaning its already been registered and the factory warranty is ticking) you're trying to compute the depreciation value of having 25K less miles versus a CPO car (certified pre owned) or a car with an add on extended warranty. Lets say you can find (ie on Autotrader.com) a similar model for $35,000 with 25,000 miles. Then you add on a $2000 extended warranty, so you're in for $37K. Is 25,000 less miles on a car you'd likely own for 7-10 years worth $4000 to you? If you were to look at 10 year old XC90s - 25K miles seem to suggest a $2500 spread in price... Now if you can only find a similar model used for 37K with 25K miles and you add on the warranty, then its about a break even.

Thank you for your reply. The dealer came down another $600 since I posted this. I am still looking for one with some miles to save some money but may go with this one if I don't find one. I appreciate your analysis.
