Hello from Bend, OR
Hi I am Torsten from beautiful Bend, OR. Originally from Berlin, Germany I moved here a few years ago.
Why I am joining this forum? Because of my endless love to Volvo's. Well partly true. I love Volvos but actually my older daughter drives a S70 (98 non Turbo) and has this nasty habit killing cars.
They are given, right? They run all the time right? Tank always filled, insurance always paid. That's her world ... not anymore
I cannot afford going to a proper dealer at that frequencies so I decided to grab deep into my pockets, get all the money I have and invest in a Volvo. The are build to last, durable, sturdy, reliable ... but they are NOT tanks.
She crashed it. Badly. And I love the car. I want to keep it. It is a good car. So I need to keep it running. That's why I am here. Hope to meet people who can tell me what to do and I hope I can share my experiences.
I'm an electrical engineer working in the high tech area. No affiliation to cars. I know how to hold a hammer and understand cars. Problem finding is where it gets difficult.
Hope to have a good time here.
