volvo xc90 2005
hi new member
ive had my volvo xc 90 2.4 diesel, 8 months now without any issues until yesterday,
i have a shuddering from time to time between 40 and 60 mph, i can only describe has driving over the white line of the hard shoulder and i just heard a squeal from brakes.
cant get to garage until monday is it safe to use until then just short trips about 20 mile a day.

you didn't note if the shudder happens when applying power or applying brakes or just coasting. Does the car drive and handle normally otherwise? This can be a range of causes - including wheel bearing, loose lug nuts, axle joints, warped brake rotors just to name a few. If the car feels odd when cornering, you could have worn bushings or control arms. If its when you are applying power, then you'd need to consider if its a misfire (where I'd expect a check engine light). Nothing here seems a safety issue (short of a loose wheel or damaged tire) but a fast visual check may be in order.
