Exhaust help for '05 V70 2.5T
Hey there! So I currently have a Volvo V70 2.5T that I'd like to do a bit of modding to. I was hoping to install a manual boost controller and try to push a little more boost through the factory turbo. I've done a bit of research and I've come across a variety of different sources, and it seems I have a good grasp on everything I need. Except for the exhaust. Many sources have suggested using a 3 inch exhaust if you're going to try and get more boost out of the turbo, but my exhaust is only 2.5 inches. My first question is, is that 2.5 inch exhaust sufficient for trying to get a little more boost? And my second question is, if I do need a bigger exhaust, are there any safe and legal ways I could modify the current one, so I wouldn't have to pay up the **** for a new one? Thanks in advance for all the help you can provide, and please don't hesitate to ask questions if that'll help.

you really want the 3" downpipe. It helps the turbo breath better. The 3" for the rest of the system is nice also. I think IPD should have everything you need for that car. except the boost controller. Those you can get anywhere if you go that route. do you have a boost gauge? you need to know the starting psi and what that spikes at, then go from there.
