hello all, 2006 xc70 78k mostly city driving, currently there is an occasionally clunking when coming out of reverse from a parking spot and maybe once my foot slipped off the brake pedal from not letting the car fully stop before shifting.

i also heard the same sound only somewhat muffled while driving down 20mph on a side street.

there is a cross bar over the engine near upper engine mount. the regular gas station mechanic plus a few not major extras says he thinks they are supposed to sway a little when you press the gas while depressing the brakes to check the mounts. cant find the dip stick to check tranny fluid.

also is the Volvo dealer the right place to bring my car, do they sub out the tranny repairs?

last service they said i need front struts, $1200.00, good Lord which i keep putting off.

wondering if it pays to keep fixing things . . . . radio dies they want $832 , GPS deck dies they want $1500, headlights and other bulbs for ever blowing, power window motor, ignition broke and replaced $980, throttle service $950.,

last week it was check engine light, a small evap leak somewhere in the fuel system. now the rear assist service required warning is on

it needs tires volvo wants $780 for Pirrelli Scorpions

off to the dealer on Wednesday to see what they come up with, reserved a loaner, plus they have a special for brakes $200

I want to tell them to check everything but fear what they may say i need done
