Default "Time for regular service" message

This is my first post but I have been greatful for all the information I have gleened from this site already. We bought a V70 2.5T in September and since we bought it we have had a "Time for regular service" message in the dash. I spoke to the dealership and they were kind enough to tell me how to reset it but it never worked. My wife drives the car so it is really not convienent to take it in for such a small problem. My wife doesn't mind it but it bugs the crap out of me.(I am kind of anal)Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I guess I should have searched for a fix first and also told you it is a 2004 model with 70K on it.

This is easy to do.
[ol][*]Turn you ign key to position I.[*]Press and hold the reset button for the trip odometer.[*]Turn your key to position II. Turn the key to position II within 2 seconds of pressing the trip odometer reset button.[*]Usually you will get a beep or a yellow lamp when its has reset, mostly just release it within 4 seconds.[/ol]
Hope this helps. It works on my '03 V70.
