HELP 940 wagon LOW RPM issues base (VIDEO)
HI,
I ahve taken my car to a couple of mechanics who are not volvo specialists and every time they tell me thay cannoit figure out why my car is bouncing RPM's below 1800 rpm BUT only when very light pressure is applied to the gas. The rpms actually oscillate up and down and the engine sounds bogged down. The problem is not just when slowly driving in a parking lot.. it also sometimes causes the tranny to buck when at highway speeds and trying to maintain a speed that has the rpm's below the 1800 mark. HOWEVER, the car idles just fine when in park or drive but with no pressure at all on the gas tank.
vacuum leaks.. can't seem to find any
throttle control is making a clicking sound
I did unfortunately try to correct the problem by adjusting the throttle cables which wasn't the best idea but it did change the shift points so i could drive it easier on the highway.
Lastly, I can drive this car just fine and it runs great. spark plugs look amazing when taken out of vehicle. If i give the gas pedal a good push but not to the floor then the car operates just fine.. any ideas..THANKS
please see video
well video is 797 kb so its too big...
well email me at jaylaymon600@gmail.com
and i will email you the video
Thank you in advance

is the idle regulation working? the car should idle at a steady 750rpm regardless of park or drive (with brake on). when shifting into drive, the rpm might dip a bit then should recover to 750.
if you disconnect the idle air controller (under the intake manifold), the idle of a fully warmed up engine in neutral should be 500-600rpm.
assuming the idle regulation is working, I'd test the throttle idle switch with a ohm meter, it should be 0 ohms at idle, and open circuit when you advance the throttle past that 'click' you noted.
any error codes on the LH2.4 onboard diag blinky-box ?
