Help with S40 LCA Bushings please!!!
So I'm a new owner of a 2006 S40 T5 AWD and a newly registered member here. My daughter will be the primary driver of the S40, so I need to make it safe again.
The car I just bought is in great shape except for a couple issues. The first is the lower control arm bushings. They are shot! The struts and upper bushings are both new and replaced, but they previous owner didn't touch the LCA bushings.
So my questions are: How difficult are these to do myself? What's better, getting the bushings alone or whole arms with bushings and ball joints?
And are there any good videos out there showing the tear down and replacement that I can view first? I've done a search on YouTube for S40 LCA replacement and have come up empty handed.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
