Default 1987 740 wagon turbo no start

I've wrenched all my life but on heavy Equipment and my own cars an trucks but this ones got me got almost 300,000 on her been a great car I've had 5 or 6 of them from the 142 up to 740.About six or seven months ago the tank pump went out so I installed both pumps and filters a high pressure fuel line up to the fuel rail, gave her a tune up got her running great again and then it got to be a hard start deal when cold, I could use an oil can and back the big clamp holdin the hose from the inner cooler get a little gas in there and off we'ed go then it to not wanting to start cold or hot .I seen one post where they said could maybe be the radio suppression Relay never heard of such a thing not letting a car run but and also the Coolant temp. Sensor, that would make more sense than the radio but not sure where it's located yet. But Any help would be really cool. This is the newest Volvo that I've owned. I'm old school ya know Points Carbs.

the Radio Supression Relay actually ahs nothing to do with the radio, it provides the power to the fuel injectors. typically a dead RSR will mean the car won't run at all.

the CTS is a candidate for your problem, especially if it will start easily when hot, but not cold... the CTS is on the intake side of the head, under the intake manifold, its one of three sensors there, has a 2-pin connector, one pin goes to the ECU (fuel injection control unit) and the other pin goes to the ICU (ignition control unit). each half of the CTS is a variable resistor, thats high resistance when cold, and low resistance when hot.

see here, https://www.volvoclub.org.uk/faq/Eng...eratureSensors

but even better, go down this list of issues and things to test. don't just blindly swap parts, test and verify!
