just bought 1983 240 wagon i have Q's!!!!

1983 volvo 240 wagon 4spd b23f

how do i know what brakes i have parts store says there are 2 options

are there any good volvo parts sites with decent prices?

also can if i cut off my catylitic converter will it affect the car?

There is 2 options for brakes on the 740, I'm pretty sure only one for the 240 though. (I could be wrong). IPDusa.com is a good site, fcpgroton.com is another good one. Also eBay is always there. And if you cut off parts of the exhaust, you will lose some power and it will be loud obviously...I would just recommend replacing it.
