Updated: My transmission will now only shift into 2nd and thats it. It wont go any faster than 30-35mph. I noticed a couple days ago that the car wasnt shifting into reverse, or revving before the transmission would engage, so I checked the fluid level and sure enough, it was low. I topped up the fluid today, and then noticed that the transmission was shifting gears late or not at all. On the drive out to Detroit tonight, it took a little while before reaching 4th gear, but by the time I got down there, it wouldnt go past 2nd!

Any help would be appreciated.

It seems like my 240DL is falling apart all at once!

Problem solved, the housing of my kickdown cable popped out of its adjuster.
