RE: CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, GOT CODES
The codes should only be erased when theproblem isresolved otherwise they will come back.
The injectors can be cleaned by adding an injector cleaner to a tank of fuel. If the problem is very bad they may have to be removed from the engine and cleaned by a fuel injection specialist using a pressure cleaner. However, occasionally one code can throw another up so check the temp sensor first. It is located on the left side of the cylinder head under the intake plenum. It will be screwed in and have a lead coming out of it.
When your engine is fully warmed up what reading do you get on the temperature gauge? The needle should sit about half way up the gauge. There is no good way to test the sensor so it usually means changing it to find out if it was faulty.
