Default exhaust pipe

I am replacing the small tail pipe on the end of my exhaust. I have removed the bracket but can not seem to get the pipe to release. I have tried to force it off with my hands, tapping it at the joint with a hammer, and spraying it with liquid wrench hoping it would penetrate the connection but to no avail. Am i wasting my time, or is there something I have not tried?

Default RE: exhaust pipe

Try a higher quality penetrating oil like PB Blaster or Kroil and/or heat with a torch.

Here's some info

Exhaust Replacement Procedures

But, IMHO, its Sooooo much easier to go to an exhaust shop with a proper cutting torch...and sometimes they can't even save the good piece. Especially on a slip joint like the tailpipe.

Cheers and good luck!

What always works for me is to peel the pipe at the slits and then it will make it loose.Use a screw driver and tap it under the pipe and bend the pipe you are replacing.
