Default Help with tail light hardwiring Woes.

Hello all, I have a Volvo 240 DL that I bought a new printed circuit tail light board for a couple of months ago. All was bliss for a few months then the intermittent break lights started again. So....I looked up a few hard wiring tips on Youtube, and low and behold, I have a few problems... First I only decided to do the right rear at this time as that one was the only one that was giving me problems. So as it stands right now, I have one running light on the right side, turn signal works fine, but brake light works ONLY if I have it connected to the left side top light. Shouldn't the break light be the lower right double filament bulb right below the turn signal light? anyway, not matter how I wire that I get nothing. Not even running lights. But the wired problem now is the break light on the left side of the car is also inop Grrrrrr..... I am open to suggestions.

Thanks and God bless.
