Not yet. The only dyno locally is at a Mustang shop and they don't like my car much. There's a new one opening soon near our shop soon...maybe I can barter services. I've had the car to 145 on the interstate....drives like it's on rails and had bunches of pedal left. Turned out so well, it inspired me to do my 245...but that's another thread!

Mainly cuz Dallas 'Stangers are thugs...not all, just most. They saw the motor in my Volvo and couldn't wait to start dissin' it. There's a Mazda Rotary power shop near s that had a chassis dyno that died sometime ago. They almost have it up and running.

Love the exhaust, really neat job. Also love the retro rocker covers, they really look good next to the intake.
I'm a big fan of the later injected Windsors, very good output for their size (both in displacement and physical size) plus HEAPS of aftermarket parts for them.
If my redblock ever dies, I'd probably stab one into my car.
Early Mustang owners are a lot like Harley owners, most of them bought the car for an instant "image" or scene to belong to. And like sheep, they just bleet the same thing over and over again!

Regards, Andrew.

I actually gave serious consideration to that idea...but in the final analysis, 400hp is way more than I need on the road! This pic is the closet to twin turbos I've gotten...my wagon and my dearly departed 84 760T...

I'm not the worlds' biggest Ford fan...more of a GM guy. But this is NICE. Sounds beautiful. That's a 351? I've kicked around the idea of an LS1, and it has been done. I've got over 300,000 miles on my car. :-)

Started out as a 5.0L...bored and stroked to 347c.i. which is technically 5.7l but calling it that would be a no-no! If money was no object what so ever, the gen3 LS w/ aluminum block would be awesome. But, there is so much aftermarket go-fast goodies for the 5.0 it's hard to beat. The way it's set up in my car, w/ iron heads, it weighs about 50 pounds more than the B230. Had I chosen aluminum heads, the V8 would have weighed roughly 50 pounds less!

Has to be great to drive! My 740 turbo is a blast at what? 160 horsepower? These are really sharp looking cars and with that powerplant...what a sleeper!

Th e car is indeed a blast to drive. It sometimes takes a while to get the stupid grin off my face. If I were to run it on a circle track for any extended period of time, I'd need bigger brakes and radiator, but it does fine on the road in Texas heat. I've had the car to 140 at the Texas Motor Speedway and close to that on a long stretch of interstate in west Texas while humiliating an M5. On road trips, at 80 mph and a/c blasting, she gets 26mpg! Not so good in town...mostly my foot to blame!

Man I'm jealous...that is really cool. Out here in Lubbock, not too many people driving Volvo's, mostly big trucks. And NO ONE builds stuff like that! Good on ya!

Lubbock? My old college room mate owned a paper factory in Lubbock...drove out there years ago. Middle of the summer, a/c out in the car. REAL thirsty! Stopped at a 7-11 to buy some beer. Said they were dry...I'd have to go to the strip. I had visions of Las Vegas! Hey, it's a college town right? The strip was a liquor store and 2 beer stores! Hopefully it's grown a bit!!

Probably hasn't grown, but at least it's grown up a bit. Finally went wet a year or so ago. All the doomsdayers have been wrong so far, I think statistically alcohol related offenses have actually gone down.

Yes, it's a college town--I go there! Tech is good, but kinda like living on an island surrounded by a sea of dirt.

Let me just say that I LOVE the 302s! I used to, and kind of still am, obsessed with older Grand Marquis' and Crown Vics because of the fact that with a little work and a little modding and some free flowing exhaust (ie removing all 4 of the cats) you have one of the best sleepers money can buy, AND low insurance!

Don't forget Mark VII's...Mustang under all the Lincoln garb! And, the old Fairmont can be pretty hot too. Still, my 740 weighs 1000 pounds less than a 2010 Shelby SC 'Stang. And...a lot faster 0-70...
